Effects of this medicine

This medicine shows bactericidal action toward general bacteria and fungi. It is also effective for virus.
It is usually used for the disinfection of finger/skin, skin/mucosa of surgery site (surgical field), medical device, operating room/hospital room/furniture/tools/items/excrement, hepatitis B virus and pool water for patients.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • Disinfection of finger/skin: In general, dip or debride with the medicine diluted 20 to 100 times (0.01 to 0.05 % of the active ingredient).
    Disinfection of skin/mucosa of surgery site (surgical field): In general, cleanse with the medicine diluted 100 to 200 times (0.005 to 0.01 % of the active ingredient).
    Disinfection of medical device: In general, dip with the medicine diluted 20 to 50 times (0.02 to 0.05 % of the active ingredient) for 1 minute or over or debride with the warmed medicine.
    Disinfection of operating room/hospital room/furniture/tools/items, etc: In general, debride with the medicine diluted 20 to 50 times (0.02 to 0.05 % of the active ingredient).
    Disinfection of excrement: In general, use this medicine diluted 1 to 10 times (0.1 to 1 % of the active ingredient).
    Disinfection of hepatitis B virus: 1) In general, use this medicine without diluting (1 % of the active ingredient) in case of the instruments contaminated by blood or other sample material. 2) In general, use this medicine diluted 2 to 10 times (0.1 to 0.5 % of the active ingredient) in case it is not sure if contamination exist or not.
    Disinfection of pool water for patients: In general, use this medicine as residual chlorine amount, 1 ppm.
    Attention to concentration in any case. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • Be aware not to let the undiluted or thick solution get in your eyes. If it accidentally gets into your eyes, wash your eyes with water adequately.
  • When the undiluted or thick solution attached to your skin, it may cause irritaion, wipe off immediately and wash off with water and soap adequately.
  • Be aware not to inhale the fume which occurs when you use this medicine, because the fume stimulates respiratory organ, etc.
  • Do not drink this medicine because it is for external use.
  • For long-term use or use on broad area, do not apply to mucosa, wounded surface and inflamed site.
  • Organic compounds such as serum or pus may weaken the disinfective effect of this medicine, thorougly wash out the substances, then use this medicine.
  • If you miss a dose, use a dose as soon as you remember. You should never use two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
