Effects of this medicine

This medicine is broken down into organic acid in the intestine to curb production and absorption of ammonia there and to lower blood ammonia level. Also, it facilitates movement of intestine and encourages defecation by osmotic pressure action in the lower intestinal tract.
It is usually used to improve psychoneurotic disorder/finger tremor/abnormality in brainwave due to hyperammonaemia, and to evacuate bowels/gas after gynecological surgery.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
    If you are a patient with: galactosemia, diabetes.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • General dosage regimen:
    Hyperammonaemia
    , for adults, take 1-2 sachets (6.5-13g of the active ingredient) at a time, three times a day.
    Evacuating bowels/gas after gynecological surgery
    , for adults, take 3-6 sachets (19.5-39.0g of the active ingredient) daily, in 2 divided doses, after breakfast and dinner.
    The dosage may be adjusted according to the patient's diseases/age/symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
  • If you missed a dose, take as soon as possible. Wait at least 4 hours before the next dose. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
  • If you took too much of this medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • Color of the jelly may vary individually, some darker than others, due to the natural ingredient in this medicine. However, there is no problem in safety/efficacy of the medicine.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: diarrhea etc.
